Vintage Christmas Wall Art of Hanging Ice Skates - Canvas Wall Art

A pair of cream figure skates hangs by their red laces from a single brass peg, one boot sitting a little higher than the other, blades pointing down. Kelly Brandt keeps the shapes simple and rounded, with soft pink brushwork in the leather, chocolate brown heels and thin silver blades that cast long shadows across a sage green wall. A sprig of holly with bright red berries tucks in beside the peg, and a red painted wainscot runs along the bottom.

This vintage christmas wall art comes from our Retro Christmas collection, painted in a mid-century style that feels like an old holiday magazine cover. The visible strokes in the wall and the slightly flattened forms give it a handmade warmth, and it sits comfortably alongside other christmas art prints with that same nostalgic look.

It's a good fit for anyone who grew up skating on a frozen pond, who keeps a box of family ornaments from decades back, or who simply loves vintage holiday wall art that says winter without saying too much. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a skater or a figure skating fan.

Hang this canvas wall art in an entryway near the coat hooks, above a bench in a mudroom, or as christmas mantel art beside some greenery and candles. The sage and red palette works as festive wall art through December and stays easy to live with right into the new year.
