Star of Bethlehem Wall Art Over the Manger - Canvas Wall Art

Three long beams of starlight cut down through the gaps in a rough plank roof and land on a small wooden manger heaped with straw. Above the rafters you can still see the night sky, deep blue and pricked with stars. Eleni Markou built this star of bethlehem wall art with a palette knife, laying the paint on thick so every plank, beam of light and wisp of straw has real ridges you can catch in the light.

It's a nativity scene painting told without figures. Just the stable, the light and the waiting manger. The cool navy walls are patched with rust and ochre, and the cream-colored beams carry the eye straight down to the straw, so the quiet holy night moment sits right at the center.

This is for anyone who wants Christmas on the wall to feel reverent and calm rather than busy. It suits families who keep a crèche out every December, collectors of textured painterly work, and people who like their faith pieces simple and a little modern. As a nativity canvas print it carries the impasto texture of the original into every brushless knife stroke.

Hang this canvas wall art above the mantel, over a sideboard or along a hallway where the golden light can glow through the season. It works well as Christmas wall art for living room spaces with warm wood and deep blue accents, and it holds up just as nicely in an entry or reading corner after the holidays.
