“Working at a Vermont dairy farm for three years taught me to really observe animals up close. The way light hit a cow's flank at sunrise, how horses shifted their weight - these small details became everything in my paintings.”

About Willa

Willa Prescott learned to really look at animals during three years on a Vermont dairy farm. Sunrise light on a cow’s flank and the way a horse shifts its weight became the details that matter most. Prescott, a former cheese maker with a BFA from CalArts, paints in Hartford, Connecticut.

Impressionism meets expressionist color in Prescott’s work. Boston’s golden-domed State House glows against glass towers, and a moonlit New York skyline appears in moody black and white. Wildlife brings softer moments, with bears and a young buck standing in meadows of purple, pink and yellow wildflowers. The most popular canvases are below, each a matte canvas print on solid wood, ready to hang.
