Royal Blue Abstract Painting of Stacked Knife Strokes - Canvas Wall Art

Willa Prescott built this royal blue abstract painting one knife stroke at a time. Dozens of short, thick swipes of royal blue pile up in a loose stack that climbs the canvas, each ridge of paint catching the light. Between the layers you see flashes of deep navy and mist white, and right in the middle sits a single stroke of amber that pulls your eye in.

The palette knife impasto gives the surface real body. You can follow where the blade lifted off, where the paint thinned into drag marks, and where it stayed heavy and raised. The soft gray ground behind it is brushed loosely, so the blue stack feels like it is rising out of mist. It reads as a contemporary abstract painting with a calm, steady rhythm.

This is for anyone who wants blue abstract wall art with texture and a quiet sense of movement, and for people who like a piece that rewards a closer look. If you have been looking for blue and white abstract wall art that is not flat or graphic, this one has the handmade feel you are after.

As canvas wall art, it works well as master bedroom wall art above the headboard, or as navy bedroom wall art next to crisp white linens. It also makes good blue dining room wall art over a sideboard, where that amber stroke can pick up wood tones and brass. Pair it with other blue abstract canvas art for a gallery wall with a clear color story.
