About the Artwork
Valerie Ashby built this one slab by slab with a palette knife. A woman sits cross-legged on a clay-colored mat, her back to us, hands folded behind her as she turns toward a tall, pale window. The wall is a patchwork of cream, sand and soft gray-blue strokes, and a trailing plant drops a few sage leaves down from the ledge.
This is yoga wall art you can feel with your eyes. The paint ridges catch the light on her shoulders and spine, and the warm skin tones sit right against the cool window glow. It reads as textured canvas wall art even from across the room, with an earth tone wall art palette that never shouts.
It's for the person who rolls out a mat before coffee, the yoga teacher who wants something honest on the studio wall, or anyone drawn to feminine wall art that feels quiet instead of posed. The mood is zen wall art without the clichés, just a body breathing in a sunlit room.
Hang it in a home yoga corner, a bedroom, or a treatment room where spa wall art belongs. The beige wall art tones and that strip of terracotta wall art color in the mat pair easily with linen, light wood and plants, making it a peaceful wall art choice for any calm space.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
People expect peonies, pears and teacups to look soft. Mine don't. I make them from flat slabs of oil set down with a knife, and the ridges and scraped edges do the talking. Twelve years inspecting fabric at a textile mill trained my eye to read surface and texture first. I work from a converted garage studio outside Asheville.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
