About the Artwork

Landon Wells gave this giraffe exactly one problem: the tub is fine, the ceiling is not. Its body is folded into a dusty pink clawfoot tub with gold feet, knees poking out of lilac bathwater, while the neck rises straight up the canvas and the head peers down from the top with a calm, slightly patient look.

The background is pure Contemporary Pop Art. Loose slabs of sea green and deep navy, cut through by streaks of hot pink, sky blue and yellow, all laid down with visible dry-brush texture. Thick black outlines hold the giraffe together, and its rust patches sit on golden ochre like a stained glass window you can laugh at.

This is vertical bathroom wall art for anyone who likes their bathroom wall decor with a sense of humor. It suits animal lovers, families who want something the kids will point at every morning, and people who think a long neck deserves a tall frame.

As bathroom canvas wall art, it fills that narrow wall beside the mirror or above the towel bar where a wide piece won't fit. The bright palette works as modern bathroom wall art in a white or tiled space, and it makes cheerful powder room wall art for guests. Printed as canvas wall art and ready to hang.

Leading sunset tours through Arizona's desert back in 2015 taught me how colors shift when you're not expecting it. Those late afternoon moments watching tourists discover something beautiful for the first time reminded me why I'd always sketched landscapes as a kid.
