A long shelf of bottles waits behind the bar, lit from somewhere out of view. Nolan Prescott painted them in amber, bottle green and deep oxblood, each one with a blank pale label, and set three empty coupe glasses on the counter in front, their rims catching thin lines of pink and gold.
