Christian Shepherd Carrying the Lamb - Canvas Wall Art

A young shepherd walks away from us along a sandy path by the sea, a woolly lamb slung across his shoulders and a single star shining high above. Bennett Hawthorne built every inch of this scene with a palette knife. The sky breaks into thick slabs of indigo and slate blue, the shoreline foams in turquoise and white, and the sand glows in ridges of butter yellow and tan.

The figure is painted in warm, earthy browns. Rough tunic, headwrap, bare legs mid-stride, and the lamb rendered in creamy, raised strokes you can almost feel. Seen from behind, he leaves the story open, heading toward the light the way the shepherds did that first night. It reads as quiet christmas nativity art without a manger in sight.

This piece is for anyone who wants christian home decor that feels personal rather than formal. It suits families who keep faith at the center of the season, collectors of christian christmas wall art, and anyone drawn to the Good Shepherd image all year long. As christian canvas wall art, it stays meaningful well past December.

Hang it in an entry, a reading corner, or above a console where the textured surface can catch side light. In a bigger size it works as large christmas wall art over a sofa or mantel, and the coastal blues and sand tones fit easily with relaxed, lived-in rooms. Printed as canvas wall art, it keeps the depth of the original knife work.
