About the Artwork

This reindeer painting by Everett Langston catches a quiet moment on the way home. A harnessed reindeer steps toward you across the snow, pulling a small wooden sled loaded with a freshly cut fir and a few red-ribboned gifts. A lantern glows on the sled's front post while the sky behind the purple mountains fades into peach and gold.

Everett built every surface with a palette knife, laying the paint on thick so the snow, the fur and the clouds all carry visible ridges and flat strokes. It reads like a snowy christmas painting with the texture of a christmas oil painting, the turquoise and lavender snow catching light the way real drifts do at dusk.

It's a reindeer art print for anyone who loves the hauling-home-the-tree part of the season, and for families who want holiday wall art that feels handmade rather than glossy. The warm lantern and rustic wooden sled make it a natural fit with rustic christmas wall art and farmhouse christmas wall decor alike.

Hang this canvas wall art above a mantel, in an entryway or along a stairway where guests pass through. The cool snow and warm sky keep it working as seasonal wall decor from the first snowfall through the end of winter, sitting easily alongside your other christmas canvas prints.

Working in wine country taught me how light changes everything. I started sketching vineyard animals during slow afternoons, and those quick studies of horses and farm dogs became my first serious paintings.
