About the Artwork
Hanna Lindqvist left most of this canvas open on purpose. A single small clay disc sits high in the upper left, and everything else is layered chalk white and oat plaster, pulled across with a palette knife so you can see every ridge and scrape. Low on the canvas, a warm sand haze and a few cool gray streaks settle in like a distant shoreline.
It's negative space art in the truest sense: the quiet does the work. The textured surface keeps it from feeling empty, and the off-center sun gives your eye one place to rest. If you like wabi sabi wall art, with its worn edges and humble palette, this one will feel familiar right away.
This neutral abstract painting is for people who want a wall that breathes. It suits Japandi wall art lovers, anyone building a calm beige and cream room, and collectors who prefer one strong, simple mark over a busy composition.
Hang this canvas wall art above a linen sofa, over a low oak bed, or in a bathroom with stone and white tile, where it works as serene, minimalist bathroom wall art. It also sits well in an entry or reading corner that gets soft daylight, which brings out the plaster texture.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I spent nine years finishing lime-plaster walls in old Duluth houses, and learned that a wall with almost nothing on it can still feel alive. In 2018 I moved from walls to canvas. I paint a stone, a branch, a far horizon or a single stroke, in chalk, oat and warm sand, and leave the rest to breathe.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
