Navy Blue Christmas Wall Art with Lantern Path - Canvas Wall Art

Two rows of small black lanterns climb a snowy hillside, each one glowing amber, and the stone path between them winds straight up to a little white chapel. Its arched door stands open and warm, the bell tower topped with a cross, a few faint stars scattered across a deep night sky. Adriana Paredes built this navy blue christmas wall art with a palette knife, laying the snow, the path and the sky in thick, angled slabs of paint you can almost feel.

The impasto gives the whole scene a quilted, patchwork look. Cream and pale blue drifts catch the lantern light, bare winter shrubs and frosted evergreens line the slopes, and the navy above is cut into broad facets like stained glass. It reads like a quiet silent night painting, the hush just before the service begins.

Among Christmas paintings on canvas, this one suits anyone who loves the walk to church on a cold night, the candlelight, the carols, the open door. It makes a thoughtful Christmas eve painting for a family that keeps faith at the center of the season, or for someone who hums O Holy Night all December.

Hang it above the sofa as Christmas wall art for the living room, in an entryway where guests come in from the cold, or along a hallway near the tree. The warm golds and deep blues sit easily with wood, brass and evergreen garland. Printed as canvas wall art, it brings a calm, reverent glow to the room every year.
