About the Artwork

That golden dome catches the last light of day, and the whole scene glows. The Wisconsin State Capitol sits framed by dark trees, its reflection rippling across the water in streaks of coral, lavender, and amber. The sky swirls with peach and gray clouds, and you can almost feel that moment right before dusk settles in.

The brushwork is loose and confident, with thick strokes that give the water real movement. Colors layer on top of each other, the way light actually behaves at sunset. The composition pulls your eye straight to that illuminated dome, then down to the dancing reflections below.

This connects with Wisconsin natives, alumni, and anyone who spent time in Madison. It's also a reliable pick for political science majors, state employees, or anyone with Badger pride. A gift that says you paid attention to where they're from.

This anchors living rooms and home offices nicely. The warm tones work well in spaces that need a focal point without overwhelming the room. Canvas wall art that grows on you over time.

After five years pushing papers at an insurance company, I took a weekend painting class in 2016 that completely redirected my life. The instructor showed us how Monet built light with broken color, and I knew I had to learn that language. Now I spend my days chasing New England's shifting seasons with my easel.

Oh, a masterpiece!

Sunset over a govt building, how original! Yet, it's oddly captivating and well-crafted.

Artwork, a lyrical dance

Like a sonnet painted in hues of twilight, it's beautiful but somewhat lacks the vibrant intensity of a real sunset.
