Large Horizontal Lone Cottonwood Under a Big Prairie Sky - Canvas Wall Art

Lennox Carver painted this one with a lot of room to breathe. A single cottonwood stands far out in a golden prairie, its leaves in soft olive and sage, while a long bank of summer cumulus piles up overhead in cream with lavender shadows. Up front, tall grasses lean in loose strokes, dotted with little flecks of orange wildflowers.

The style is soft contemporary impressionism, so nothing is fussy. The clouds are built from thick, buttery dabs, the sky fades from clear blue to a warm haze at the horizon, and the fields read as bands of sand, ochre and pale green. As large horizontal wall art, it gives that wide-open feeling of standing at the edge of the plains.

It's for anyone who grew up near open country, misses big skies, or just wants a calm view to rest their eyes on. If you've been looking through landscape canvas prints for something warm and quiet rather than dramatic, this fits right in, and it suits farmhouse landscape art lovers as well as more modern homes.

The wide format makes it natural long horizontal wall art above a sofa, a console or a sideboard. Hang it as wall art above couch height in the living room, as large dining room wall art along a long table, or as large office wall art where you want something steady to look up at. This canvas wall art also works as large nature wall art in a bedroom or hallway.
