Impressionist Christmas Painting of Santa on the Rooftop - Canvas Wall Art

Santa stands with his back to us at the edge of a snowy roof, one boot planted beside a red brick chimney, looking out over a town that is still awake in little squares of yellow light. Further along the ridge, three reindeer wait quietly beside an empty red sleigh. Above it all, a thin crescent moon hangs in a deep blue sky scattered with stars.

Arden Sinclair painted this impressionist christmas painting with thick, confident strokes. The snow in the foreground is built from dabs of lavender, cream, butter yellow and pale blue, so it catches the moonlight the way real snow does. The sky swirls in loose navy brushwork, and the rooftops below soften into a haze of glowing windows. It reads like a Christmas oil painting, with the texture of the brush left in plain view.

This santa canvas painting is for anyone who loves the quiet moment before the gifts arrive, the pause on the roof rather than the rush. It suits people who collect vintage santa wall art and anyone who wants holiday wall art with a painterly feel instead of a cartoon one.

As christmas canvas wall art, it looks right above a fireplace mantel, in an entryway where guests come in from the cold, or along a staircase wall. The blues and warm window lights sit easily with garland, candles and the rest of your Christmas wall decor, and it pairs well with other Christmas art prints from the Magical Santa Nights collection.
