“Teaching literature at UT for eight years taught me about storytelling, but I wanted to tell stories without words. The light hitting the campus tower each morning convinced me to try painting those moments instead of just describing them in lectures.”

About Arden

For eight years, Arden Sinclair taught literature at UT in Austin, Texas, the city the artist still calls home. Morning light on the campus tower sparked a wish to tell stories without words, so Sinclair began painting those moments instead of describing them. The former professor holds a BFA from Art Center College of Design.

Sinclair’s style is impressionist, with energetic strokes and city lights reflected in water. Favorite scenes include the floating fires of WaterFire in Providence, the CN Tower above Toronto’s harbor and snow-dusted streets in Montreal. Each canvas below is a shop best seller, printed on matte canvas and ready to hang.
