Framed Cowboy Art in the Barn Doorway - Canvas Wall Art

An older cowboy steps out of the barn shadows and into the doorway, a long tan duster hanging loose and a folded saddle blanket slung over one arm. Behind him the pasture runs out to a split-rail fence and low hills, all washed in dusty afternoon light. His white beard, sweat-worn hat and scuffed boots tell you he has done this walk ten thousand times.

Brielle Navarro painted this framed cowboy art piece in her soft contemporary impressionist style, with thick, visible palette strokes in sand, cream and weathered brown. The dark barn boards make a natural frame around the bright opening, so the light seems to pour in across the dirt floor. It reads like a quiet moment rather than a posed portrait, which is what gives it the feel of a vintage western painting.

This is for anyone who grew up around horses and hay, or wishes they had. It belongs in a collection of western art prints next to other ranch scenes, and it makes a thoughtful gift for a father, grandfather or working rancher who sees himself in that tired, steady stride.

As canvas wall art, it holds its own over a leather sofa, in a home office, or as man cave wall art above a bar. The warm neutrals suit cabin wall art and lodge rooms just as well, and a bigger size works as large western wall art in an entryway. If you are pulling together western wall decor, this cowboy wall art is an easy anchor piece among your western canvas art.
