Cypress Tree Painting of a Bayou Dawn - Canvas Wall Art

This cypress tree painting catches a Louisiana bayou in the quiet minutes before the day starts. Three tall bald cypress trees stand together in still water, their trunks flaring wide at the base, with long veils of moss hanging from every branch. Small cypress knees poke up around them, and their reflections stretch down the surface almost unbroken.

Ines Arellano paints in a soft contemporary impressionist style, building the sky and water from short, layered strokes of cream, powder blue and blush pink. The moss is laid in with loose touches of sage and golden ochre, so the trees feel light and airy rather than heavy. It reads as a true bayou painting and a gentle spanish moss painting at once, calm all the way through.

It's made for anyone who loves the Gulf South, grew up near the swamps, or just wants something peaceful on the wall. As louisiana wall art it carries a real sense of place, and fans of pastel wall art will like how softly the colors sit together. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who misses home.

The tall format suits a narrow wall in a hallway, beside a bed, or above a console in the living room. Printed as canvas wall art, it pairs well with linen, light wood and woven textures, and fits right in with a collection of southern wall art or louisiana art prints in a calm, sunlit room.
