“I paint in a small garage studio in San Diego, a few blocks from the bay. Before painting full time I was a florist, and arranging stems taught me how much quiet space a composition needs. I build airy scenes of coastal mornings and garden light with soft layered brushwork and a little knife work, keeping the colours hushed so the painting feels calm in a room.”

About Ines

Ines Arellano paints in a small garage studio in San Diego, just a few blocks from the bay. Before she picked up the brush full time, she spent years as a florist, and arranging stems taught her something she still carries into every canvas: a composition needs room to breathe. She later earned a BFA in Painting from San Diego State University, pairing that formal training with a florist’s instinct for balance and restraint.

Working in oil on canvas with soft, layered brushwork and touches of palette knife, Ines builds airy Impressionist scenes of coastal mornings and light falling through gardens. Her colors stay hushed and her surfaces painterly, so each piece brings a sense of calm rather than noise. Her canvases feel at home in bedrooms, reading corners, sunlit living rooms, and entryways where a quiet moment is welcome. Below are Arellano’s canvases in our shop, ready to hang.
