About the Artwork

Two big monstera leaves lean into each other on long, slender stems, every split and oval hole carved out in thick ridges of paint. Celine Marquez built them with a palette knife, pulling pale highlights across charcoal shadows so each leaf looks almost sculpted. It's one of our black and white botanical prints where texture does all the talking.

Behind the leaves, the background is dragged in long vertical strokes of smoky grey, soft enough to let the foliage stand forward. Without any green, the shapes of the plant become the whole story: the curve of the leaf edge, the rhythm of the cutouts, the crisp line of each center vein.
