About the Artwork
Three oak barrels sit stacked on their sides under a low brick arch, two on the bottom and one riding on top. Michelle Dorsey built the whole cellar with a palette knife, laying down thick slabs of charcoal, gray and cream so the stone walls look chipped and patched by years of damp. Light catches the round barrel heads and the iron hoops, and the wet floor throws back a broken reflection of it all.
Working only in black and white keeps the focus on texture. You can see the grain in every stave, the drips running down the back wall, the hard edges where the knife dragged paint across the arch. It reads like a quiet corner of an old brewery where the beer is left alone to age.
This is basement bar wall art for people who care about what goes in the glass. It suits anyone building out home bar decor, a brewer proud of their craft beer wall art, or someone who wants man cave wall art that feels grown up rather than loud.
Hang this canvas wall art above a back bar, beside a tap system, or at the bottom of the stairs leading down to your basement lounge. It also works as pub wall art in a tasting room or a small restaurant where the neutral palette fits any wood or metal finish.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in a carriage house studio behind our home in Charleston. Staging houses taught me how a single piece of art can set the mood for a whole room. I work with a palette knife in thick black, white and warm greys, scraping the edges so they shine, and when a piece asks for it I add a small touch of metallic gold against the drips.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
