“After coordinating hundreds of weddings, I craved something quieter and more personal. Animals became my focus in 2013 when I started painting my neighbor's rescue dogs. The loose, expressive brushwork feels like freedom after years of managing timelines and vendor lists.”

About Mason

Mason Hollis coordinated hundreds of weddings before wanting quieter, more personal work. Animals took center stage in 2013, starting with paintings of a neighbor’s rescue dogs, and the loose brushwork still feels like freedom after years of tight schedules. Hollis holds a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and works in Dallas, Texas.

Watercolor washes meet expressionist energy in the work, full of drips, splatters and warm color. Bright butterflies share the collection with sunlit places: the adobe plaza in Santa Fe with its turquoise awnings, the Phoenix skyline under marbled orange and purple, and the Pacific shore at Bandon. Below are the artist’s best-selling canvases in our shop, each printed on matte canvas over solid wood.
