About the Artwork

Three round discs step up the canvas on a slow diagonal, each one smaller than the last. Beatriz Solano built them in thick white paste, dragged with a knife so the ridges catch the light and throw soft shadows onto the ivory ground behind. A single sweep of warm peach sits on the smallest disc, the only color note in the whole piece.

This is white textured wall art that works almost entirely through light. The background is brushed in layered sand and cream, scuffed and uneven, so the discs read like plaster wall art pressed onto an old wall.
