About the Artwork

This toilet paper painting treats an everyday roll like the star of a pastry case. Madison Kovács set a single white roll on a footed porcelain cake stand and tucked a small bunch of chamomile daisies into its core, their yellow centers popping against a soft sage green wall. Thick, crisscrossing strokes give the paper its quilted texture, while the cream tabletop is laid in loose, sweeping bands.

It's part of the Toilet Paper Still Life collection, painted in a soft contemporary impressionist style. The joke is quiet and the palette is calm, so it reads as humorous bathroom art without shouting. The pearly highlights on the porcelain, with hints of lilac and a thin copper rim, are the kind of details you notice on the third look.

Made for anyone who likes funny bathroom decor with a little restraint, or who wants a gift for the friend who keeps a perfectly styled powder room. It suits people who enjoy quirky bathroom art that still feels like a real painting.

As canvas wall art, it works as powder room wall art, half bath wall decor, or bathroom art over toilet where the vertical shape fits a narrow space. It's also an easy choice for small bathroom wall art in a guest bath with soft greens, creams, and white fixtures.

Working construction in Vienna taught me about texture and color in ways art school never could. My Hungarian roots pull me toward bold abstractions, while the city's classical architecture keeps me grounded in traditional techniques.
