About Madison

Madison Kovács learned about texture and color as a plasterer on Vienna construction sites, lessons art school never taught. Kovács also studied abroad in Paris and still works in Vienna, Austria. Hungarian roots pull the work toward bold abstraction, while the city’s classical architecture keeps it grounded in tradition.

The style sits between impressionism and abstraction, focused on historic European landmarks. Three windmills stand above Mandraki Harbor on Rhodes under a lavender and peach sky. Roses and poppies frame the Cloth Hall in Krakow, and the colonnade of Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg curves through evening light. The best-selling Kovács canvases follow, each stretched over solid wood and ready to hang.
