About the Artwork
Warren Hadley built this staircase out of paint you can almost feel. A curving wrought-iron railing sweeps up the side of a sunlit courtyard wall, its scrolls throwing lace-like shadows across warm ochre and cream stone. At the top, a small landing waits by a deep blue door, and a second blue door sits quietly at the foot of the wall.
Every surface is laid down with a palette knife in thick, overlapping slabs. The wall breaks into patches of butter yellow, sand and clay orange, the steps catch the light in pale stripes, and the courtyard floor is only a few broad knife strokes of blue, tan and rust. This is stairway wall art that reads like texture and sunlight first and architecture second.
It suits anyone who loves Mediterranean courtyards, old stone towns, or simply the shape of a stair turning out of sight. If you collect architectural wall art with a painterly hand, or have a soft spot for blue door wall art, this one belongs with you.
Hang this canvas wall art where people climb or pass by: as hallway wall art along a long corridor, or as stair landing wall decor where the curve of the railing can echo your own steps. It also works as spiral staircase wall art in an entry or reading nook that needs a warm, sunlit focal point.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I look for scenes with old enamel in them: a vintage truck, a roadside diner, a gas pump. Two decades of hand-lettering storefront signs left me with bold color and a steady hand. In my carriage house in Savannah, I lay those scenes in thick slabs of oil with a palette knife. Cherry red meets turquoise. The ridges carry its shine.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
