About the Artwork
Three grey arcs drop in from the top edge of this soft abstract painting, each one a little paler and wider than the last, like ripples moving out across still water. Heather Boyd laid them down with a dry, dragged brush, so the edges feather and break instead of sitting crisp.
Below the rings, the canvas opens into a wide ivory calm. Fine scratches and sweeping strokes run through the surface, and a cloudy grey wash gathers near the bottom. It reads as textured abstract wall art, quiet from across the room and full of small marks up close.
This piece suits anyone drawn to wabi sabi wall art and Japandi rooms, where worn texture and restraint matter more than bold color. If you want a neutral abstract painting that settles a space rather than filling it, this is a good place to start.
Hang this canvas wall art above a low linen sofa, at the end of a hallway, or over a bathtub where its soft greys can breathe. It pairs easily with oak, stone, plaster walls, and white bedding.

I paint in a sunlit room above a bookshop in Savannah. Years as an interior stylist taught me how a calm piece can settle an entire room, so I paint for those spaces. I work in acrylic with wide, slow strokes, layering ivory, soft greys and a touch of charcoal until marsh grass, still water and simple forms sink into a hazy, low contrast calm.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
