About the Artwork

This snowy village painting catches the quiet minute when a small town starts to wake. Maren Hollis laid the sky in long palette knife strokes of peach, rose and soft lavender, and that first rose-gold light falls across the rooftops and a pointed church steeple. A few windows still glow amber, as if someone just put the kettle on.

The snow is the real story here. Fresh and untouched, it sits in thick knife slabs of cream and pale violet, with ridges you can almost feel. Dry winter grasses poke through in the foreground, and a low fence line runs past the cottages and frosted evergreens. It reads like a Christmas church painting without leaning on anything showy.

It suits anyone who loves winter wall art that feels calm and lived-in rather than busy. If you collect Christmas art prints, want contemporary Christmas art with real texture, or simply grew up somewhere the snow piled high, this one will feel familiar.

Hang this canvas wall art above a sofa, a mantel or an entry table where morning light can reach it. It works as holiday wall art through December and stays easy to live with all season, making it one of those Christmas pictures for wall space you won't rush to take down in January.

Working with patients taught me to see healing in unexpected places. I started painting scripture verses as gifts for my church family in 2019, but the abstract backgrounds began taking over the canvases. Now those color fields tell their own stories.
