Reindeer in Snow Painting at Full Gallop - Canvas Wall Art

This reindeer in snow painting catches the animal mid-stride, all four legs reaching, with snow bursting up from its hooves in thick cream flecks. Emory Thatcher built it with a palette knife, so the antlers, the shaggy white chest and the windswept drifts all stand up off the surface in ridges you can almost feel. Behind it, lavender mountains and spruce trees sit under a sky streaked with peach and soft orange.

The heavy impasto gives it the weight of a christmas oil painting while the cool blues keep it crisp and fresh. Up close it is all sculpted strokes and bright highlights. From across the room it reads as one clear moment of motion, a snowy christmas painting with real energy instead of a quiet postcard scene.

It suits anyone who loves winter, the outdoors or the northern animals that come with the holidays. It makes a thoughtful reindeer art print for a collector of the series, a cabin owner, or someone who keeps their seasonal wall decor up long after December.

As canvas wall art, it works over a fireplace, in an entryway or along a stair wall where its forward motion can lead the eye. The blue, cream and warm brown tones sit easily with wood, stone and rustic christmas wall art, and it holds its own as holiday wall art or simply as winter canvas wall art through the colder months.
