About the Artwork
A small clump of pampas grass grows from a low sandy bank, and all five plumes lean to the right together, like a light breeze just came through. Sanne Kuipers painted each plume with thick, layered strokes, so the feathery tips look soft and textured. Two are rust red, two are warm sand, and one is a quiet grey-green. Long thin leaf blades arc out from the base and curve back toward the ground.
This pampas grass painting keeps things calm. There is plenty of open cream space around the grass, a faint blush of color drifting across the right side, and a loose wash of clay brown where the bank meets the canvas edge. It is a simple boho painting that lets the brushwork do the talking.
It suits anyone drawn to earth tone wall art and natural textures, the kind of person who keeps dried grasses in a vase and likes rooms that feel warm and lived in. If you have been looking for terracotta wall art that stays soft rather than loud, this one fits.
As canvas wall art, it works well above a linen sofa, a rattan bench or a wooden console, and it ties in easily with boho living room decor. Hang it in a bedroom or entryway too, anywhere bohemian wall art with a light touch would feel at home.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in a shared studio along a canal in Utrecht, surrounded by grasses drying upside down. Working as a florist taught me to look at the curve of a single stem and leave space around it. I build my canvases with marble dust and matte acrylic, then place soft rainbow bands, leaf shapes and pampas plumes in blush, terracotta and sand on a cream ground.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
