About the Artwork

This piece brings the desert inside without the heat. Tall saguaros anchor the composition, flanked by prickly pears with hot pink blooms and a round barrel cactus down front. The background layers geometric shapes in coral, gold, and sage green, with those iconic double sunburst arches framing palm trees and distant architecture. It's midcentury modern meets desert garden.

The artist uses a graphic, poster-like approach here. Flat colors and clean lines give it that vintage travel print vibe, but the botanical details keep it grounded. The palette leans warm without going full sunset, mostly terracotta, golden yellows, and muted greens with pops of magenta from the cactus flowers.

This one's for anyone who loves Palm Springs style or keeps succulents on every surface. Works as a California housewarming gift or for the person who'd rather look at desert flora than water it. The geometric elements and retro feel also land with fans of midcentury design.

We see this in living rooms and home offices mostly. The vertical composition suits spaces that need height, and those warm tones work in rooms with natural wood or neutral walls. Easy to style around.

Recording voiceovers for meditation apps taught me to appreciate silence and stillness. When I moved to Austin in 2019, I started sketching the stray cats in my neighborhood. Those simple drawings led me to painting, where I found I could capture the free-spirited energy of animals through loose, flowing watercolor techniques.

Did the cactus cross the road?

Cactus art? Surprisingly, not prickly at all.
