About the Artwork

Three tall arches stand shoulder to shoulder on a single painted line, each one filled with vertical stripes of olive, sage and cream. Curtis Bramlett gave every arch its own rhythm, so the stripes never quite repeat, and he slipped a thin line of deep blue inside the tallest one. At its foot sits a small rust half circle, like a setting sun peeking through a doorway.

You can see the hand in it. The cream background carries soft sweeping brush marks, and the stripe edges have that slight wobble of real paint, which makes this a quiet piece of textured abstract wall art rather than a flat graphic. It reads as classic mid century abstract art with an earthy, sun-faded warmth.

I work out of a former tire shop near Route 66 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cooking on a busy diner line taught me rhythm, timing and how to keep many things going without losing the order.
