About the Artwork

A little red fox kit has tucked itself into a tight ring for a nap, eyes shut, nose resting on its paws, and that bushy white-tipped tail wrapped right around the front. Maren Hollis built the fur with a palette knife, laying down short ridges of rust, honey and smoky brown so every tuft catches the light.

Around it, broad strokes of cream and sand fill the background, and a cool blue-gray floor settles under the fox like a patch of shade. The soft, pastel nursery wall art palette keeps things calm, while the thick impasto gives the piece real texture you can almost feel.

This nursery wall art woodland piece is for parents building a forest-themed room, for anyone who loves foxes, and for gift givers looking for something gentle and lasting. It pairs easily with other nursery animal portraits from the Woodland Nursery collection.

Hang this nursery canvas wall art above a crib, a changing table or a reading chair. It also looks right at home in a kids' room, a cozy hallway or a guest room with warm wood and soft neutrals.

Working with patients taught me to see healing in unexpected places. I started painting scripture verses as gifts for my church family in 2019, but the abstract backgrounds began taking over the canvases. Now those color fields tell their own stories.
