About the Artwork

Rain-slicked streets reflect neon and headlights in this Times Square canvas wall art. The artist captures a wet evening in the heart of Manhattan with vintage cars, glowing billboards, and pedestrians with umbrellas navigating the famous intersection. The palette moves from deep blues in the sky to warm yellows and oranges bouncing off wet pavement. A turquoise classic car anchors the foreground.

The painting style walks a line between impressionism and realism. Thick, visible brushstrokes give texture to the buildings and streets, while the reflections dissolve into loose, expressive marks. The technique matches the subject, that slightly blurred feeling you get walking through Times Square when everything's lit up and moving.

For anyone who's spent time in New York or dreams about it. This connects with people who appreciate mid-century urban scenes and the romance of rain in the city. A thoughtful gift for the friend who can't stop talking about their last trip to Manhattan, or for anyone building a space around New York wall art.

Hangs well in living rooms or home offices where you want conversation without noise. The vertical composition works on narrower walls. Bold enough to stand on its own, but the colors play well with existing decor.

After five years pushing papers at an insurance company, I took a weekend painting class in 2016 that completely redirected my life. The instructor showed us how Monet built light with broken color, and I knew I had to learn that language. Now I spend my days chasing New England's shifting seasons with my easel.
