About the Artwork

Two big discs meet in the middle of a cream field, one soft peach blush and one deep plum. Where they cross, Autumn Carlisle scraped the paint into a dusky mauve lens, and a thin teal crescent rides the top edge of the plum circle like a sliver of light.

Everything here was laid down with a palette knife. The cream ground is built from broad, ridged swipes that curve around the circles, with warm ochre showing through the gaps. Up close it reads like plaster textured wall art. From across the room it settles into calm, simple modern abstract wall decor.

This is textured abstract wall art for people who like color but want it quiet. The palette stays soft and warm, the shapes stay simple, and the surface gives your eye something to explore without ever feeling busy.

Hang it as neutral living room wall art above a sofa or low console, or over a sideboard where it works as neutral wall art for dining room settings. The print comes as canvas wall art that brings the look of thick impasto to any wall.

After fifteen years spinning records at late-night radio, I needed something quieter but just as creative. Tearing up old album covers and sheet music felt natural, like remixing but with paper and paint instead of turntables.
