About the Artwork
A single chrome microphone stands on a tall brass stand, right in the middle of an empty vocal booth. Behind it, soft rectangles of acoustic paneling in slate blue, charcoal and teal line the curved wall, their edges brushed loose so they seem to drift back into shadow. A sweep of burnt orange marks the floor like a rug or a pool of warm light.
Ingrid Dahl painted this in a mid-century style, with dry, visible brushwork on a cream ground and just enough polish on the microphone grille to catch the eye. It feels like the quiet minute before the first take, when the room is ready and nobody has started singing yet.
This piece of music studio wall art is for singers, podcasters, producers and anyone who loves the look of old recording gear. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a friend who just set up a home studio or still talks about their first open mic.
Hang this canvas wall art above a mixing desk, in a home office, or as the anchor piece of your music room wall art collection. The warm cream and rust tones sit easily next to wood, leather and mid-century furniture.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I work from a small harbor-side studio in Gothenburg, a short walk from the ferries. For years I mixed glazes at a ceramics workshop, and I still think about colour as something that fires and settles. My paintings borrow the boomerang curves and stacked blocks of the fifties, pushed into bright orange, teal and saffron with thick, honest brushwork.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
