Large Santa Canvas Walking into the Snow - Canvas Wall Art

We only see his back here, and that is what makes it work. Santa is headed away from us into a heavy snowfall, his cream sack slung over one shoulder and a trail of boot prints running back toward the viewer. Autumn Carlisle built the whole scene with a palette knife, so the red coat is a patchwork of crimson, rust and plum, and the snowy ground rises in thick ridges of cream, lavender and pale blue.

The falling snow is dabbed on in small white dots that sit right on top of the paint, which gives the piece a quiet, hushed feel. It reads as a classic father christmas wall art moment without leaning on the usual sleigh or chimney, more of a pause in the middle of a long night of work.

This large santa canvas suits anyone who wants christmas canvas prints with a painterly hand, people who like texture they can almost feel, and families who bring out the same holiday wall art every December. It also works as winter wall art that can stay up well into January.

Hang it above the sofa as christmas wall art for living room gatherings, in an entryway where guests come in from the cold, or over a mantel in place of a mirror for the season. The soft lavenders and creams sit easily next to neutral rooms, while the red coat keeps it festive. Printed as canvas wall art, ready to hang.
