About the Artwork
A black medicine ball sits on top of a wooden plyometric jump box, one red seam curving around its scuffed surface. Abby Sutton painted the box with one side in flat red and the other in deep blue, edged in worn wood trim with the hand slot cut into the front. Behind it, loose swipes of pink, yellow, green and orange streak across a cream ground.
This piece is part of the Iron Still Life collection, where everyday training gear gets the pop art treatment. The brushwork stays rough and quick, with scratches and dry streaks left showing, so the ball and box feel used and real rather than polished. It's gym wall art that treats the humble jump box like a still life subject.
It's a fit for anyone who does box jumps and wall balls on a regular basis, from the CrossFit regular to the weekend lifter. If you've been hunting for crossfit wall art that has some color and personality, or fitness wall art that doesn't rely on slogans, this one fits the bill.
Hang this canvas wall art above a rack of medicine balls, next to the rower, or on a bare wall as garage gym wall art that brightens up the concrete. It also works as home gym canvas art in a spare room or basement, where the red and blue pick up rubber floor mats and equipment.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in a converted garage on the east side of Columbus, with sneaker boxes stacked as shelves. Years managing stock at a sneaker store taught me how a single colorway can make someone stop mid-aisle. My pop-art canvases start with flat fields of hot pink, lemon and orange, then I lock every shape down with crisp black paint-pen outlines until the whole thing snaps.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
