About the Artwork
Clara Westbrook painted this one in long, slow vertical pulls of thinned grey over a creamy white ground. The bands hang and overlap like sheer fabric, darker where they stack, lighter where they thin out, and their lower edges fray into a soft mist instead of stopping clean. Look closer and you can see ridges of thick white paint catching the light between the layers.
This grey and white abstract painting is about restraint. There is no bright color and no hard edge, just tone, texture and the quiet rhythm of tall shapes leaning into each other. It reads as calm from across the room and rewards a closer look with all that brushwork.
It suits anyone who likes monochrome abstract wall art that feels soft rather than stark, and who wants something sophisticated abstract wall art can offer without taking over a space. If your home leans toward linen, pale wood, stone and warm whites, it will feel right at home.
The tall format works beautifully above a console, beside a window, or as modern office wall art behind a desk where you want focus instead of noise. Printed as canvas wall art, the soft greys and creamy whites keep their depth in natural light and evening lamps alike.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I spent twelve years retouching black-and-white portraits in a Portland photo lab, and it taught me that the softest greys carry the most feeling. In 2017 I traded the darkroom for oil paint. Now I paint quiet scenes in fog, ivory and charcoal, with as little contrast as the subject allows.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
