About the Artwork

This view shows the Smoky Mountains at their most vibrant. A winding river cuts through purple-grey ridges while autumn foliage, orange and golden yellow, blankets the foreground. The sky shifts from deep plum clouds to warm peachy light. The paint is thick and visible, giving the scene texture you can almost feel.

The artist works with a palette knife and bold color choices, building up layers that catch the light differently throughout the day. The impressionist approach lets the mountains blur into atmosphere while keeping the foreground flowers and trees distinct. Those thick strokes of orange and rust along the hillsides show fall at its peak.

For anyone who's spent time in Gatlinburg or the Smokies, this brings that memory home. A solid gift for Tennessee transplants or anyone who returns to the mountains year after year. This is the view people drive hours to see, now on your wall year-round.

This belongs in living rooms or bedrooms where you want a shot of color and energy. The warm tones work with wood furniture and neutral walls. Canvas wall art that reminds you why people keep coming back to these mountains.

Bennett Hawthorne

After years mixing cocktails in Manhattan dive bars, I moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains in 2015. The morning fog rolling over these hills reminded me why I loved painting before life got complicated. Now I spend my days chasing that soft light through the seasons.

Quality mountains, no hiking boots needed

Who needs a vacation when the Smokies are on your wall? Great quality, surprisingly not sarcastic.
