About the Artwork

Somebody ran a bath for the wrong guest. Harrison Quinn painted an alligator stretched out in a clawfoot tub that is far too short for it. Its snout rests over one end, its front claws grip the rim, and that long ridged tail spills over the other end and down to the floor.

Harrison built this one with a palette knife, laying the paint on thick so every scale on the back catches light in ridges of teal and charcoal. The tub is a deep cobalt blue with gold claw feet, and the floor and wall around it break into slabs of coral, lavender, mustard and cream, like a patchwork of fresh paint.

This is funny animal bathroom wall art for people who like a little joke with their morning routine. It suits anyone collecting animals in bathtub wall art, reptile fans, or a household that wants quirky bathroom wall art that guests will ask about.

Hang this canvas wall art over the tub, beside the vanity, or in a powder room where the bright colors can wake up a plain wall. It also works well as small bathroom wall art in a tight half bath, or in a modern bathroom that needs some warmth and texture.

Working with precision tools for twelve years taught me patience, but a gallery visit in 2016 made me crave something more expressive. I traded metal shavings for paint tubes and never looked back.
