About the Artwork
A wide half disc in adobe rose sits low on the canvas, resting on a muted sage dust band like a sun caught right at the horizon. Above it, Erin Caldwell built up a bleached desert chalk sky in layered, plaster-like strokes. You can see every pass of the knife and brush, with faint warm shadows drifting through the cream.
This earth tone abstract art keeps things simple on purpose. One shape, one line, one open field. It reads as a neutral abstract painting at a glance, then rewards a closer look with its scraped edges, soft speckling and the thin darker line where the disc meets the ground. It's textured abstract wall art that feels handmade because it is.
It suits anyone drawn to wabi sabi wall art, where worn surfaces and quiet imperfection matter more than polish. If your home leans japandi, with natural wood, linen and low furniture, this piece fits right in without asking for attention.
Hang this canvas wall art above a bed, a low console or a reading chair where you want something serene. It also works as minimalist bathroom wall art next to stone, plaster or warm white tile, and pairs easily with taupe, clay and oatmeal tones in a living room or entry.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in an adobe studio on the edge of Santa Fe, where the desert does most of the teaching. Years of mixing clay and glazes in a pottery studio taught me patience and a love for earthy, chalky surfaces. My minimalist canvases hold one arc, one horizon or one soft stone shape in sand, clay and sage, surrounded by plenty of open, quiet space.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
