About the Artwork

Silas Berrington painted one small sprig of cherry blossom and gave it plenty of room to breathe. Five open flowers in pale pink, each with a fine burst of golden stamens, sit along a slim brown branch. Round buds in deeper rose cluster at the tips, and a few loose petals drift down and away toward the lower edge.

The background is where his soft contemporary impressionism shows. Broad, dry brushstrokes of powder blue, cream, and warm peach layer over each other, so the surface feels like a spring sky seen through a window. The blossoms are painted with more care and detail, which lets them float gently in front of all that quiet color.

This cherry blossom nursery art suits parents who want something calm and grown-up rather than cartoonish, and it will still feel right as a child gets older. It also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves cherry blossom art prints or the simple beauty of Asian cherry blossom wall art.

Hang this canvas wall art above a crib, a changing table, or a reading chair in the nursery. It works just as well in a bedroom, a soft-toned hallway, or a bathroom with pale walls, and it pairs nicely with other cherry blossom framed art in a small gallery grouping.

Working with molten glass for six years taught me about color temperature in ways I never expected. When I switched to painting in 2017, those lessons about heat and light translated perfectly to capturing Mexico's vibrant markets and sun-drenched landscapes.
