About the Artwork
This diving board painting catches the moment just before the jump. A swimmer in a teal suit stands at the very end of a long cream board, arms raised to the sky, while the steel railings and ladder hold the near end steady. Eleni Markou built the scene as a palette knife painting, laying down thick slabs of slate, cream and turquoise so the clouds and water seem to shift as you look.
Up close you can see every stroke. The sky is a patchwork of gray and soft white cloud, warming to a peach glow near the horizon. Below, the pool rolls in ridges of aqua and blue with pale crests of paint that catch the light. Sandy tan walls and clusters of pink flowering shrubs on both sides warm the cool tones. It is part of our Swimming Pool Days collection and carries a little of that mid century pool art feeling without looking like a copy of anything.
It is for anyone who remembers long summer afternoons at the pool, or who loves summer wall art with real texture and a calm, hopeful mood. The muted blues and grays sit easily next to white walls, natural wood and linen.
Hang this canvas wall art in a sunroom, a guest room or as beach house wall art near the door. It works just as well as lake house wall art, as pool bathroom decor, or as a swimming pool art print over a bar cart where the knife marks catch passing light.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
My one rule: once a ridge of paint is down, it stays proud. Mixing glazes in a ceramics workshop made me watch color change under heat and light. I work a few streets from the Thessaloniki waterfront, where the sea shifts hourly. I set boats, white houses and lemon trees in thick knife strokes, hot ochre against deep Aegean blue.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
