Cherry Blossom Canvas Art of a Rising Bough - Canvas Wall Art

One strong cherry bough climbs straight up the canvas, splitting into branches that crowd with pink blossom near the top. Dorian Haskell painted the bark with scraped, ridged strokes and let thin drips run down from the limbs, so the tree feels like it was built up layer by layer. Behind it, sweeps of deep blue, sand and coral red move in every direction.

This is cherry blossom canvas art from our Heritage Botanical Bouquets collection, done in Dorian's Expressive Color style. Each flower has thick petals in rose and blush with darker centers, the kind of raised paint you'd expect from a palette knife flower painting. Up close you can see the knife marks; from across the room it reads as a bright spring branch against a stormy sky.

It suits anyone who wants botanical wall art with some energy in it. If soft pastel florals feel too quiet for you, this textured floral painting keeps the blossoms but adds movement and contrast. It also works for people drawn to dark floral wall art, since the deep blue ground gives the pinks a lot of punch.

The tall, vertical shape fits a narrow wall beside a doorway, a hallway, or the space above a console or headboard. Pair it with navy, warm wood or cream linens to pull out its colors. As floral canvas wall art, it brings spring indoors without feeling sweet. Our canvas wall art arrives ready to hang.
