About the Artwork

This golden retriever has fully committed to bath time. He leans over the rim of a white clawfoot tub, paws draped over the edge, bubbles piled up around him and a little yellow rubber duck balanced on his head. His expression says patient and slightly unimpressed, which is exactly what makes it funny.

Landon Wells paints him in warm honey and amber tones with fine strokes for the fur, then sets him against loose, flat blocks of hot pink, sky blue, orange and yellow. Bold black bars and a few drips of paint give it that pop-art edge, while soft white highlights make the bubbles look round and glossy.

Made for anyone hunting for dog bathroom art with real personality, especially golden retriever owners who know the bath-time standoff all too well. It also makes a cheerful gift for dog lovers, groomers and anyone who likes their walls with a sense of humor.

This canvas wall art brings color and a smile to a bathroom, laundry room or mudroom. It works just as well in a kid's bath, a playful hallway or above a dog-washing station, anywhere that could use a bright, friendly face.

Leading sunset tours through Arizona's desert back in 2015 taught me how colors shift when you're not expecting it. Those late afternoon moments watching tourists discover something beautiful for the first time reminded me why I'd always sketched landscapes as a kid.
