About the Artwork

This black and white mountain print starts with a broad summit ridge laid down in thick white snow. Avery Calloway built it with a palette knife, so every slope carries long, raised strokes, broken by black rock bands that run down the face like stitching. Grey cloud rolls in below the peak, and a flat, glassy lake at the bottom catches the whole scene in streaked reflection.

The contrast is what makes it. There's no color to lean on, just white against black against every shade of grey in between. The drips along the lower edge and the soft tree shapes fading into fog give it the quiet feel of foggy mountain wall art without losing that sharp winter edge.

It suits anyone who loves high country but wants something calmer than a postcard view. If you collect mountain art prints, this one brings texture and restraint to the mix, and it pairs easily with black frames, linen, and natural wood.

As canvas wall art, it holds its own above a sofa or a long console, which makes it a strong pick for mountain wall art living room setups. It also works in a bedroom, a home office, or a hallway where the tall, vertical format can draw the eye upward.

After years in restaurant kitchens, I discovered painting during a quiet October in 2019. The textures and colors I worked with in food naturally translated to canvas. Now I spend my mornings creating moody, atmospheric pieces that capture the mystery of autumn nights.
