Bison Canvas Wall Art Side Profile in Shadow - Canvas Wall Art

Avery Calloway painted this bull in strict side profile, facing left, with the palette knife doing almost all the work. Thick ridges of black paint build the woolly mane and beard, while a hard light from above catches the top of the hump in cream and silver and slides along the curve of one horn. The face sinks into shadow, leaving just the glint of a brown eye and the wet sheen of the nose.

Behind him, streaks of charcoal and pale gray drip down the canvas, giving the piece a quiet, modern edge without pulling focus from the animal. It reads as an American bison painting first, with a raw, textured finish that makes the fur feel like it could shed.

This is bison canvas wall art for anyone who loves the West but wants something more restrained than a sunset scene. Collectors of American wildlife painting, ranch owners, hunters and folks who simply admire a strong animal will all find something to study here. As a bison art print in a black and white palette, it pairs easily with leather, wood and iron.

Hang this black and white buffalo canvas over a fireplace, in a study or above a dark console in the entry. It works as modern buffalo wall art in a clean living room and as country western wall decor in a cabin or lodge. Printed as canvas wall art, it brings the texture of the knife work right into the room.
