About the Artwork
Five mountain ridges step back into the morning, each one a little paler than the one in front. Lynette Sorrell painted them in soft greys over a pale sky, letting fog settle in the valleys so the hills seem to float. Up close you can see the brush texture dragged across each slope, which keeps the quiet scene from feeling flat.
This is black and white bedroom wall art for people who want something restful to look at first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It works as black and white mountain wall art without any drama, more like a slow breath than a postcard view. Fans of a monochrome landscape painting with a hand-painted feel will find a lot to like here.
Printed as canvas wall art, it brings the same calm that black and white canvas prints are known for, with enough tonal range, from charcoal foreground to near-white sky, to hold a wall on its own.
Hang it above the bed, a reading chair, or a low dresser where the long horizontal ridges can stretch out. It pairs easily with linen bedding, pale wood, and other black and white wall decor, and suits a guest room or quiet home office just as well.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in an adobe studio on the south side of Santa Fe, where winter light turns everything to soft grey. Fifteen years printing black and white photographs in a darkroom taught me how rich a single tone can be. I work with wide brushes and a light palette knife, building misty gradations of ivory, warm grey and charcoal while leaving plenty of quiet, empty space.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
