Banana Leaf Wall Art in Golden Backlight - Canvas Wall Art

Marlo Shepard painted this single banana leaf from below, with the sun sitting right behind it. The whole surface turns translucent, shifting from deep olive in the shadowed ribs to bright lemon and gold where the light breaks through. Fine tears along the edges let little slivers of sky show, and the turquoise background is laid in with quick, loose strokes that keep everything moving.

This banana leaf wall art belongs to our Sunlit Palms and Tropical Leaves collection, and it shows what Marlo does best: thick, confident brushwork that reads as modern impressionism. Each rib of the leaf is a separate pull of paint, so up close you see texture, and from across the room you see pure glow. It works as tropical leaf wall art without leaning on any cliché.

It's a good pick for anyone who wants summer wall art that stays bright all year, or who is pulling together tropical home decor without going full theme. If you like green leaf wall art but want something warmer and more alive than a botanical study, this one has that.

Hang this canvas wall art above a sofa, a reading chair, or a console in an entryway where it can catch daylight. It's an easy anchor for tropical decor for living room spaces with white walls, rattan, or warm wood, and pairs well with other modern tropical wall art in a small grouping.
