About the Artwork
A baker stands at a long wooden worktable and lets a loose handful of flour fly. The white powder hangs in a soft arc over a waiting rolling pin, caught in hazy light from the side. His face is turned slightly away, so the moment belongs to the flour, the hands, and the worn grain of the table.
Carmen Aguilar paints in a soft contemporary impressionist style. Brushy cream and tan strokes build the apron and rolled sleeves, warm browns settle into the tabletop, and the background dissolves into shelves and sunlight. This baker painting from our Bakers at Work collection feels quiet and close, like early morning before the shop opens.
It's a natural pick for home bakers, bread lovers, and anyone who finds calm in flour-dusted counters. As bakery decor, it fits a real bakery just as well as a home kitchen, and it works as coffee shop wall art or cafe wall art where the morning routine matters.
Hang this canvas wall art above a butcher block counter as kitchen wall art, or give it a spot as dining room wall art near the table where bread gets shared. The warm neutrals sit comfortably in a rustic kitchen wall art setup or as farmhouse kitchen wall art, and it brings an easy, honest feel to restaurant wall art too.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in a whitewashed upstairs room in Cádiz, with the shutters half closed against the afternoon sun. Raking salt in the coastal pans taught me how light softens everything when the air is thick with haze. My soft impressionist work uses worn cream, sage and faded Mediterranean blue in thin, broken strokes, so the forms dissolve gently into the light.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
